How do I book an appointment with one of your vets online?

All you have to do is open your customer account and add your pets' information. When booking an appointment online, an automatic triage will be done based on keywords, allowing us to determine whether your concerns can be managed virtually, or whether a traditional clinic consultation would be more suitable.

You can then choose the time slot and veterinarian of your choice. A simple, secure credit card payment will be made at this point. You will then receive an email confirmation, which will include the connection link to access the virtual consultation.

How does virtual consultation work?

At the time of your appointment, with your pet in tow, open the link sent by email.

Depending on the veterinarian's recommendations, a treatment or investigation plan will be communicated to you, including prescriptions or an appointment with one of our in-home technicians to carry out additional tests.

The date and time of the home appointment will be communicated directly by the veterinarian during your virtual consultation, depending on your availability.

Does my pet's medical insurance cover telemedicine*?

Yes, teleconsultation, diagnostic tests and prescribed treatments are normally covered by medical insurance. However, we recommend that you contact your insurer to clarify the extent of your coverage.

I can't make it, can I cancel my appointment with the veterinarian or home technician?

You can cancel your appointment free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment time. For cancellations within 24 hours, a partial refund of $45 will be issued.

What are your opening hours for veterinary teleconsultations?

Time slots with our veterinarians are available daily, even on evenings and weekends. These will be displayed when you book your appointment online.

What are the times for home appointments?

For the time being, home visits by technicians are scheduled every Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Depending on demand, other times will be available. It's possible to get an appointment faster by paying an emergency travel fee of $50, in addition to the regular travel fee.

What should I do before my veterinary appointment?

Ensure that your pet's medical file is forwarded to the veterinary team. This will ensure optimal care for your pet.

What should I do before my home appointment?

Instructions will be e-mailed to you in advance.

How do I get my prescriptions after the consultation?

Your prescriptions will be sent directly to your regular veterinarian or pharmacy. All you have to do is pick them up when they're ready!

Do you offer subscriptions?

For the moment, we only offer a consultation formula à la carte. However, depending on demand, subscriptions may become available. We'll keep you posted on our website.

Do you offer consultations for other types of pets?

For the time being, we only offer consultations for dogs and cats. However, consultations for ferrets, rodents, domestic birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and others may follow, depending on demand.

Is it possible to have diagnostic tests done at home if I don't live in the Montreal area?

For the time being, the in-home technician service is only available in the Greater Montreal area.

However, a request for testing can be made by our veterinarians to be carried out in the veterinary clinic of your choice. This form of external sampling will give access to the results just as easily, and the medical management can be honored by Neovet's attending veterinarian.

Is it possible to use home services without first having a veterinary teleconsultation?

No, a teleconsultation with one of our veterinarians is mandatory before you can book an appointment with an in-home technician.
